About

Schoonover pursued her innate ability with "the brush" in 1970, commanding immediate competitive success.

Color is Schoonover's forte - along with qualities described as: fresh, strong, ethereal, often monumental, or magical.

Working in acrylics on canvas and paper, Schoonover's color forte has been described as fresh, strong, ethereal, often monumental, and magical.

From miniature to large sizes, Schoonover's inspiration comes from experiences of striding on, sleeping in, and sometimes merely surviving in the wilderness where she and her husband often backpacked and canoed.

Schoonover made her home in Atlanta for many years and holds a bachelor’s of science in business from Indiana University.

Schoonover’s work has been exhibited at the Atlanta High Museum Art Shop of the 70's, The American Museum of Science & Energy, and in many Atlanta area shows.
